Before and After

I have found the most satisfying part of my job is spotting chairs, sofa, or stools in need of renovation and reupholstering.

I bought these lovey period chairs, French 18thC Directoire Fauteuil in very poor condition but the frames were very strong and secure.

The frame was a brown green colour  which I decided with some careful cleaning would bring the original colour back.  I just couldn't believe the change. I used sugar soap and extra fine wire wool.  Lovely detailing could be seen and instead of brownish green a cream original paint appeared
